Arturo Torres, after 20 years in investment banking, he run the first fund of tech startups within a bank in Argentina with 15 investments and 2 relevant exits (one in video gaming -Three Melons, acquired by Playdom (US)- and the others in the biotech sector -Celint acquired by Vicentin Group-).

He co-founded Inspirit Angels, an angel fund with a portfolio of 23 investments in technology startups, including recent unicorn Auth0, that as of Jun 2020 had a gross TVPI of 5.1x.

Then, he moved to NxtpLabs as a Program Director, where he helped scale the business to a portfolio of more than 170 investments and to expand the acceleration program to six countries in LatAm.

After a 1.5-year period serving as National Director of Venture Capital for the Argentine Government, and serving as a venture finance advisor for several startups, he joined Draper Cygnus in July 2019.

He’s also a member of the Investment Advisory Committee of Acelerador del Litoral, which runs acceleration programs for technology-based startups in the province of Santa Fe, Argentina. Arturo holds a BS in Agricultural Economics and a Master in Finance.
